You might see an increase in helicopters whizzing across local fields this year. CPI is pleased to announce we’ve partnered with RotorWings Aviation, LLC of Hebron to provide helicopter fungicide application.
Venturing into helicopter application has many advantages, including:
Access
The helicopters don’t need a landing strip and can land at the edge of the field. The growers then know we’ve applied their field, not a neighboring field.
Application
The air pattern of the helicopter allows the fungicide to be applied more directly into the canopy and plant leaves than a fixed-wing aircraft.
Maneuverability
Helicopters can fly better around power lines and trees, and they’re able to apply more precisely to small, irregular-shaped fields.
