Hastings, NE – August 1, 2016: The Board of Directors of Cooperative Producers Inc. (CPI) has announced that Allan Zumpfe has been selected to serve as Chief Executive Officer effective August 1, 2016. Zumpfe will succeed Steve Domm who served as CEO of CPI until May of 2016.
Zumpfe has 29 years of experience and leadership in agriculture for both cooperatives and privately-held companies. He was previously the Senior Vice President of Grain at Central Valley Ag in York, Nebraska. Allan started his career with Cargill as a management trainee in Ravenna, Nebraska. He then worked for Quad County Co-op in Exeter, Nebraska as a grain merchandiser before becoming the Grain Division Manager for Agri Co-op in Holdrege, Nebraska for 16 years.
“Allan’s leadership skills, knowledge and experience in agricultural cooperatives, and focus on employees and customers, were key qualities we were looking for in our new CEO,” stated Jeff Loschen, CPI’s Board chairman. Loschen added, “The Board looks forward to working with Allan as CPI continues to grow and move forward.”
Allan was raised on a grain and livestock farm near Milligan, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics. He and his wife, Angie, have four children.
