The CPI Hayland location loaded their first grain shuttle yesterday using Union Pacific Railroad locomotive power. The UP locomotive will be a major asset for moving rail cars in the future as well as minimize the possibility of a breakdown with the CPI locomotive and losing train incentive. CPI started working with Union Pacific Railroad over a year ago to set up this up. Ron Pohl, Manager at the Hayland location, has worked for the last two months making sure CPI had all the documents and insurance in place. Ron and four other employees at the Hayland location went through locomotive training in North Platte at UPRR.
